Author Biography

Barbara Kingsolver grew up in eastern Kentucky. She is the author of eight books, including three other novels (Animal Dreams, The Bean Trees, and most recently, The Poisonwood Bible), a collection of stories (Homeland), and a book of essays (High Tide in Tucson). She has two children, whom she raises with her husband, Steven Hopp. They live near the mountains outside of Tucson, Arizona.
