Awesome read  August 13, 2011
by

This textbook is one of the best textbooks I have ever read, hands down, by any author, and I am a very avid reader. She deftly manages several intertwining story lines, with well-developed characters and time settings - all without losing the reader; and for those who are paying attention it is a most satisfying and pleasurable read. Well done, Louise Erdrich, this textbook deserves a huge prize!

Summary

This bestselling work tells the quintessentially American story of the unsolved murder of a farm family that haunts the small, white town of Pluto, North Dakota, as well as the nearby Ojibwe reservation.
