James Buckley Jr. is the author of more than 125 book for young readers, including more than a dozen titles in the popular Who Was...? biography series. He has written many books on sports, including the annual Scholastic Year in Sports, as well as on nature, history, social studies, astronauts, dolphins, bugs, antique cars, pirates, and surfing, to name just a few. He lives in Santa Barbara, California.

Diane Bailey has written 4 0non-fiction books for children and teens, on topics ranging from science to sports to celebrities. Diane also works as a freelance editor, helping authors who write novels for children and young adults. Diane has two sons and lives in Kansas with her two dogs.
