The Church of England's 2009 Advent campaign whywearewaiting.com featured daily video stories based on slowing down and trying to hold at arm's length the commercial pressures that can build up to fever pitch during December. The website attracted: 52,641 total page views, 21,573 total visits and 12,597 unique visitors (ie different people). This pocket version offers a daily practical challenge to stay cool from December 1st to the 24th, each with a reading, a prayer, a short reflection and a reference to a YouTube clip where you can listen to a helpful message. Each day's content is based on a real observation relevant to the season. Based on the popular pocket format of Love Life Live Lent which has sold over 250,000 copies, some of the best voices in the Church of England contribute to this small book: Paula Gooder, Stephen Cottrell, Nick Baines, Jan McFarlane. It also includes an introduction from the Archbishop of Canterbury.
