Author Biography

Andrew L. Egel, Ph.D., is a professor in the Department of Counseling, Higher Education and Special Education at the University of Maryland. He has developed an ongoing research program in the area of autism while training teachers to work with children and youth with autism spectrum disorders and other severe disabilities. Katherine C. Holman, Ph.D., CCC-SLP, is an assistant professor in the Department of Special Education at Towson University, a certified speech-language pathologist, and director of the Teacher as Leader in Autism Spectrum Disorders master's program. Christine H. Barthold, Ph.D., BCBA-D, is a limited-term researcher at the Center for Disabilities Studies, University of Delaware. In addition, she holds a private practice working with young children, adolescents, and adults with autism.
