Author Biography

Kim Elliott, BTech, PhD, CEng, MICE, is Senior Lecturer in the School of Civil Engineering at Nottingham University, and was formerly employed at Trent Concrete Ltd where he was engaged in precast design, manufacture and construction.


Since 1987 Dr Elliott has researched on precast structures, and has published more than 50 papers on this work. He co-authored the BCA publication Precast Concrete Framed Buildings. He has presented seminars on precast construction in 12 countries, including Australia, South Africa, Brazil, Malaysia, Singapore, Europe, and the UK. Dr Elliott is a member of FIB commission on Prefabrication, and Chairman of COST C1 Action on Concrete Structures.
