Summary

The focus of this book is to detail the advances that have been made in theory development and to demonstrate the continued relevance of theory to nursing practice. Part I discusses concepts, statement, and theory development with recently published examples of theory strategies. Chapter 1 provides a historical context to theory development and added coverage of global perspectives on nursing theory. Part II, III, and IV are reorganized in this edition to emphasize the interdependence among concept-, statement-, and theory-related strategies.
