Author Biography

Gina Woods began her journey as a professional needlework designer in 1980. Crochet items were her first creations, but when plastic canvas needlepoint began to gain popularity in the late 1980s, the medium caught her attention. Her delightfully detailed and original projects have been published nationwide. The first issue of The Needlecraft Shop 's own Plastic Canvas.Magazine, dated March/April 1989, featured several Gina Woods originals. Gina gives credit for the design influence in her life to her father, Bud Winnell. The "true inspiration" in Gina's life, Bud was an art director for a television station in Denver, Colorado, before he retired. Gina lives in Kingwood, Texas with her husband Rich. They have two children.
