Mr. Kavanagh's teaching experience began in 1969 at Seneca College where he designed and taught courses in surveying, computerized/advanced surveying, municipal services design and highway design. Both texts, published by Pearson Education/Prentice Hall Inc., USA, have been adopted for use in Civil Engineering programs and Civil Engineering Technology programs in the U.S.A., with wide use also in Canada and some off-shore locations (for example, Singapore, & U.K.). Additionally, in 2003 he wrote the text Geomatics, for post-secondary Geomatics programs.
Mr. Kavanagh is presently (May, 2008) working on the 8th edition of Surveying Principles and Applications and on the 7th edition of Surveying with Construction Applications.
