Author Biography

Russell A. Barkley, PhD, is Director of Psychology and Professor of Psychiat and a preeminent researcher and practitioner whose other publications for parents and families include Your Defiant Child: Eight Steps to Better Behavior (Fall 1998). Internationally known in the mental health field for his scientific and clinical work, Dr. Barkley has published numerous acclaimed professional books. His educational videos include an award-winning series on ADHD and two programs on childhood defiance, and he is editor of The ADHD Report, the leading newsletter in the field. He serves as Director of Psychology and Professor of Psychiatry and Neurology at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center.
