Author Biography

ROBERT J. LANDY is professor of Educational Theatre and Applied Psychology and Director of the Drama Therapy Program at New York University. He is author of The Couch and the Stage: Integrating Words and Action in Psychotherapy (2008), Essays in Drama Therapy: Unfinished Business (2001), Essays on Drama Therapy: The Double Life (1996), Drama Therapy: Concepts, Theories and Practices (1994), Persona and Performance-The Meaning of Role in Drama, Therapy, and Everyday Life (1993), Drama Therapy: Concepts and Practices (1986), Handbook of Educational Drama and Theatre (1982), as well as a frequent contributor to The Arts in Psychotherapy. He is also Auditor in Chief for The New York State Council on the Arts. DAVID MONTGOMERY is Visiting Assistant Professor to the New York University Program on Educational Theatre. He is a contributor to Research in Drama Education, as well as writer of the educational video Becoming a Teacher, Making Matters Matter (2007). He has also contributed to Teaching American History (eds. Robert Cohen& Diana Turk).
