Summary

Weave colored thread into 12 beautiful and simple designs—all featuring adorable bunny themes!
“Thread painting” is the term for using colored thread embroidery to create artistic, dimensional images. Using Jenny McWhinney’s wonderfully easy-to-follow directions, even novice embroiderers can recreate her 12 delightful rabbit-themed designs—including bunnies watering and potting plants, harvesting carrots, raking leaves, gathering sweet honey from the hive, and picking apples. Use them on garments, household objects, bags . . . anything you want! Tracing patterns and stitch diagrams are included for every one, and 100 color photographs document the projects in various stages.

Author Biography

The inspiration for Jenny McWhinney’s embroidery comes from nature itself. Her early needlework projects involved simple stitches, “coloring in” with threads the creatures she had drawn. From there, she progressed to using a greater variety of stitches and threads, achieving a more sophisticated effect with stitch direction and color, creating her now-signature style. She has a strong following thanks to her many magazine articles published in Australia and internationally, and her fascinating classes conducted throughout Australia.
