Summary

Toxic Plants of North America, Second Edition is a fully updated reference for both wild and domestic toxic plants on the North American continent. This new edition covers both animal and human intoxications, including plant morphology and distribution, associated disease problems, toxicants and their mechanisms of action, clinical signs and pathologic changes of intoxications, and treatment approaches. Updates include color images throughout, coverage of new species, and revisions in the classification and nomenclature of the genera and species to reflect recent taxonomic changes. This book proves an exhaustive, essential resource for veterinarians, toxicologists, agricultural-extension agents, animal scientists, and poison control professionals.
