Summary

Veterinary Technician's Manual for Small Animal Emergency and Critical Care provides a comprehensive reference on the pathophysiology, epidemiology, clinical signs, diagnostic tests, treatment options and general nursing techniques of common small animal emergencies. Organized by sections following the qualifying exam for the Academy of Veterinary Emergency & Critical Care Technicians (AVECCT), each chapter is written by veterinary technician specialist or boarded veterinarian and includes ample photographs which clearly illustrate clinical signs, corresponding radiographs and diagnostic procedures. Veterinary Technician's Manual for Small Animal Emergency and Critical Care not only serves as guide to initial patient management, specific organ system disorders and other select topics and therapies, but is a helpful aid for those preparing to write the AVECCT qualifying exam. Review questions, case studies and images are provided on a companion website.
