This is the true story of Willem, a young boy who risked his life in the resistance movement in Holland during World War II. He was in danger because he carried messages for the Underground. His life was also at risk because his family took in and hid Jewish children who would have been deported and killed by the German Nazis who invaded Holland. Willem and his family and the children they saved all survived the war; but they would never forget living through the frightening years from 1940 through 1944, when Holland was finally liberated.
