Sirotkin is a lawyer and human rights activist who has been at the center of legal battles over workers’ rights, the anti-nuclear arms industry protest, Central American amnesty for refugees fleeing US backed oppression as well as serving as an international observer at South Africa’s first free elections in the post-apartheid period and a legal advisor to the South Africa Truth and Reconciliation Commission.
