Author Biography

Leonard B. Glick is professor of anthropology at Hampshire College, Amherst, Massachusetts, where he teaches cultural anthropology and European Jewish history. Previously, he held teaching positions at Bryn Mawr College and the University of Wisconsin, Madison. A featured lecturer at the annual summer programs of the National Yiddish Book Center, Amherst, he is author of numerous articles on the anthropological study of religion and ethnicity.
