very helpful March 12, 2011
I needed to buy this textbook because I am back doing a lot of neuro at work and getting thrown into other surgeries I may not be super-familiar with. This is a great review. Love this textbook. had to finally break down and buy it and it is a valuable resource for any OR nurse. The author gives you the tools you need to provide safe, cost-effective, high-quality patient care. Surgical Pharmacology tables summarize and offer quick reference to the drugs most commonly used for specific surgical procedures, including generic and trade names, purpose/description, and pharmacokinetics. This textbook has been a tremendous help for studying operating room practices and scrubbing. I love it.
