All the Wave is a story about the loving bond between a brother and sister. Vanessa, who goes by Ness for short, loves any reason to be near water. During a birthday trip to the beach, she gets knocked over by a wave and pulled into the ocean. Orlando comes to her rescue, and reminds her that she while she does need to be careful around water, he will always be there for her.
This story was written to commemorate and memorialize the relationship between the late Orlando and Vanessa Woolridge, two incredible human beings who left a beautiful mark on the world. Their love lives on in the bond between Orlando's children and Vanessa's niece & nephew: Renaldo and Tiana Woolridge. All the Wave is actually a true story from Renaldo and Tiana's childhood. Tiana, the author, wrote this story using Orlando and Vanessa as the main characters in order to eternalize the strength of the Woolridge sibling bond.
