Author Biography

Alex Kosseff is Program Director for Adventure Safety International LLC, where he specializes in risk management audits, leadership training, and advising volunteer-based organizations. Kosseff is also an assistant instructor for Aerie Backcountry Medicine, a lead instructor for the Montana Mountaineering Association, and a chief instructor and staff trainer for Outward Bound.  Formerly the leadership director for the Appalachian Mountain Club, Alex has led wilderness trips for a wide range of organizations and is an avid backpacker, skier, and climber.  He lives in Bozeman, Montana.
