Author Biography


Lars-Anders Hansson, Professor of Aquatic Ecology, Lund University,Susanne Akesson, Professor of Evolutionary Ecology, Lund University

Lars-Anders Hansson teaches aquatic ecology at Lund University and also leads a team at the Centre for Animal Movement Research (CAnMove) which aims to develop techniques, such as nano-scaled tracers, to track individual micro-organisms such as zooplankton in order to answer key questions about migratory behaviour.

Susanne Akesson teaches evolutionary animal ecology and ornithology at Lund University. In 2005 she was elected as a Fellow of the Royal Institute of Navigation (FRIN) and since 2008 has been the coordinator of the Linneaus program Centre for Animal Movement Research (CAnMove) at Lund University financed by a ten year grant from the Swedish Research Council and Lund University.
