Author Biography

Beatrice Alemagna nació el año 1973 en Bolonia, Italia. Estudió Diseño Gráfico y fotografía en Urbino. Ganó su primer premio de ilustración en el Salón del Libro de Montreal, el año 1996. Desde 1997 vive en Francia, donde trabaja como autora e ilustradora. Su obra es esencialmente artesanal. Utiliza collage, pintura, foto-montaje, tinta, costura, fieltros y hasta botones.

Beatrice Alemagna was born 1973 in Bolognia, Italy. Studied graphic design and photography in Urbino, Italy. She earned her first illustration award at the Salon du Livre in Montreal in 1996. She has lived in France since 1997, working as an author and illustrator. Her work is essentially artisanal. Her work incorporates elements such as collage, painting, photo-montage, ink, sewing, felt, and buttons.
