Author Biography

Author and motivational speaker Bethany Knight believes all life will be treasured, and peace will comfort the planet when the caregivers of the world tell their precious love stories. She participated in International Way of Peace Pilgrimages to India and Northern Ireland, praying for world peace, in 1998 and 2000. Bethany is a former long-term care ombudsman, state health care association director, and lobbyist. She has worked as a pastor, nursing assistant, and long-term care insurance agent, as well as a newspaper reporter and gubernatorial speechwriter. Bethany and her husband, Dr. Thurmond Knight, a luthier, live on 160 acres in northern Vermont, which they've named Shantivanam (Peace Forest) after the ashram Bede Griffiths founded in southern India.
