Author Biography

Jim is a native of northwest Missouri where his mother and father instilled a lifelong love of adventure with camping trips around the western US. He grew up with two terrific brothers and a sensational sister while benefitting from an amazing extended family of grandparents, aunts, uncles, countless cousins, and many friends. He is an Eagle Scout, US Navy veteran and received a BS in Biology from Northwest Missouri State University. After living in Missouri, Arizona, California, Texas, and New York, he now lives in Idaho with his wife Kathi and their dog Chloe. A productive and interesting career in the medical device industry gave more a chance travel the US, Canada, Europe, Mexico, South America, and South Africa.
