Summary

The new Richard Mariner adventure When Richard Mariner's tug Sisyphus is hit by a huge rogue wave off the Greenland coast, only superb seamanship and good luck save her. Even so, Richard's wife Robin is swept overboard and Richard's relief at surviving is immediately replaced by a frantic drive to rescue Robin. The vessels ahead of Sissy are not so fortunate. The Canadian submarine Quebec is surfacing when the vicious undertow beneath the huge wave damages her and her equipment severely. And the Spanish trawler La Craihuela is simply swallowed by the sea. Fighting blindly upwards, Quebec collides with the sinking trawler smashing a great wound into her bows. Quebec's crew then discover she has become shrouded in fishing nets which wrap themselves inextricably around her racing propeller causing the leaking submarine to begin to sink. An ever-more desperate race begins as Sissy must pull the stricken submarine back up towards the surface, and somehow keep her there as they battle towards their rendezvous with a Canadian Navy rescue fleet at the southern point of Greenland - the ominously named Cape Farewell
