Summary

A young girl begs her parents for a puppy before Christmas. The parents get two Westie puppies and hide them in the den. The puppies escape and run through the house exploring and playing. After discovering the puppies are missing the father searches all over the house trying to find the puppies. However, the puppies are able to easily hide in anything white since their fur is itself soft and snow white. The only person to eventually discover the puppies is Santa while he is placing packages under the Christmas tree. The next morning the young girl is sad to not find puppies under the tree, but is then delighted to find them in the stockings hanging over the fireplace.Each passage of the story is written in a poem format. Each passage is also wonderfully complimented with a photograph depicting what is happening. These bright colorful photographs are filled with details that will entertain children and adults alike, year after year.

Author Biography

Patricia A. Bremmer is a mystery writer who was inspired to write a children's book after two of her own Westies had puppies. Her puppies appear in The Christmas Westie photographs.
