Author Biography

Alice Lascelles is an award-winning journalist, author, presenter and drinks expert. She is the drinks columnist for the FT's How to Spend It magazine and a regular contributor to FT Weekend. Previously she was drinks columnist for The Sunday Times and The Times. Her articles and columns have also appeared in The Economist's 1843 Magazine, Monocle, Noble Rot, Prospect, jancisrobinson.com, Evening Standard, Vice as well as many trade and specialist titles. In October 2019 she hosted Amazon's first live-streamed whisky tasting. In 2016 Alice was named Spirits Communicator or the Year at the International Wine & Spirit Competition. She has also been shortlisted for Louis Roederer Wine Feature Writer of the Year. When she is not writing, Alice has a second life as a musician which has included touring with the White Stripes and releasing an album under the name Alice Gun.
