Author Biography

Helen McCarthy (general editor) has written and spoken extensively about Japanese culture, comics, anime and manga. She researched and curated the first ever anime programme at a British convention, wrote the first book in English dedicated to Japanese animation, and has worked on such publications as Manga Cross Stitch: Make Your Own Graphic Art Needlework and The Art of Osamu Tezuka: God of Manga. Helen currently lives in London with her partner, an artist.
