Summary

Spring arrives in the peaceful town of Miracle Springs. The days are cold and rainy, but Nora Pennington can't complain: the bad weather has turned her cozy bookstore-cum-café into a haven filled with people eager for a good book and a hot drink. The virulence of the rain causes the pedestrian bridge to collapse, and Nora notices something floating among the debris carried by the current: the lifeless body of Cherokee Danny, a potter from whom Nora had bought a bowl at the flea market. An enigmatic Cherokee symbol, the discovery of another body, and the secrets revealed in Rose's old journal confirm Nora's suspicions: Danny's death was no accident, and the members of the Secret Book and Snack Club are determined to prove it.
