Author Biography

Karl Marx was a German economist, historian, journalist, philosopher, and revolutionary socialist. His ideas played a significant role in the development of social science and the socialist movement. He is the author of The Capital. Friedrich Engels was a German-English author, industrialist, philosopher, political theorist, and social scientist. He is the author of The Condition of the Working Class in England. Fernando Vicente is an award-winning illustrator and a frequent contributor to Babelia, the cultural supplement of the Spanish newspaper El País. He is the illustrator of El extraño caso del Doctor Jekyll y Mr. Hyde, La saga de Eirík el Rojo, and El valle del miedo.
