In the area of algorithms, the encyclopedia will cover (1) concepts such as cache-oblivious algorithms and systolic algorithms, (2) specific numerical and non-numerical algorithms such as parallel matrix-matrix multiplication and graph algorithms to, for example, find connected components in parallel, and (3) implementations of algorithms in the form of widely used libraries such as LAPACK.
