Author Biography

Julian Baggini is the author, co-author, and editor of more than 20 books, including How the World Thinks, The Edge of Reason, The Ego Trick, and How to Think Like a Philosopher. He was the founding editor of The Philosophers’ Magazine and has written for numerous international newspapers and magazines. He served as Academic Director of the Royal Institute of Philosophy and is an Honorary Research Fellow at the University of Kent.

Peter S. Fosl is Professor of Philosophy and Director of the PPE program at Transylvania University, Lexington, Kentucky. He is the author of Hume’s Scepticism: Pyrrhonian and Academic, co-author of The Philosopher’s Toolkit and The Critical Thinking Toolkit, editor of The Big Lebowski and Philosophy, and co-editor of David Hume on God, Philosophy: The Classic Readings and Commonplace Commitments. The recipient of numerous teaching awards, Fosl was appointed the 2013–14 David Hume Fellow at the University of Edinburgh.
