Summary

This book is the introduction to a series of authoritative accounts of the methods of converting solar energy to chemical fuels or electric power by means of photoconversion devices -- that is, by direct, non-thermal means. Photoconverters include devices as diverse as phytoplankton and photovoltaic cells.
