What is included with this book?

Summary

This book provides a comprehensive treatment of the nonlinear optical process by ultrafast laser pulses and explains how the basics of nonlinear optical microscopy led to the most advanced techniques of photo-controlled nonlinear optical microscopy. It presents a detailed review of current nonlinear optical microscopy, from two-photon absorption microscopy to nonresonant four-wave mixing microscopy and everything in between; explores functional imaging based on molecular control; and explains biological applications such as nanosurgery and transfection. The book is written for senior undergraduate and graduate students, technicians, cell biologists, life scientists, and biomedical engineers and researchers working in nonlinear optical microscopy.
