Summary

R to L (Japanese Style). Tamahome's love for Miaka has broken Nakago's hold over him, and his memory has returned. Miaka, thinking she now has all seven Celestial Warriors, starts the ceremony to summon Suzaku, only to discover that one of the warriors is an impostor--he's really the Seiryu Celestial Warrior Amiboshi! But when the real warrior Chiriko is discovered, the ceremony will no longer work. Now Miaka must travel to Genbu to find another way to summon Suzaku with a sacred treasure called the shentso-pao. Meanwhile, Yui learns that she too must travel to Genbu to summon Seiryu!

Author Biography

Watase's debut came in 1989 at the age of 18 when her short story Pajama de Ojama (An Intrusion in Pajamas) appeared in the monthly Shôjo Comic manga anthology. Since then she has written and drawn some 50 volumes worth of different short stories and long-running manga series, including the fantastically popular Fushigi Yûgi. She won the 43rd Shogakukan award for Ceres: Celestial Legend. Her works have provided the basis for two anime series, a live-action drama, three OVA series, anime soundtrack CDs, and a string of novels.
