Author Biography

Geoffrey Gersten is a painter living and working in Arizona. He was born in 1986 in Phoenix. Self-taught, Gersten was influenced most by classical masters of oil painting and their technique in his early studies. Rembrandt was a particularly powerful influence. Gersten began to develop his own style which often combines whimsical humor and a sense of political irony, all painted in a classical manner.

His work can be found in myriad public and private art collections both in the United States and abroad, and has been seen in numerous galleries including Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Santa Fe, Scottsdale, Washington DC, & Taipei City.

James Cowan is a publisher, art dealer, and commentator on international fantastic and surreal art.
