Bach's keyboard masterpieces Goldberg Variations, Chromatic Fantasy and Fugue, Art of the Fugue, and Concerto for Piano and String Orchestra in D Minor in arrangements by pianist and composer Ferruccio Busoni. Includes Busoni's original system of keyboard notation, demonstrated vis-a-vis the Chromatic Fantasy.

Author Biography

Ferruccio Busoni (1866–1924) was one of history's most celebrated pianists and a composer of note. A controversial transciber of J. S. Bach's keyboard works, he prepared a 25-volume edition of Bach's music with side-by-side commentaries and piano arrangements of his own and those of his pupil, Egon Petri.
