Summary

Graphic Agitation 2 explores graphic protest in the digital age, inarticular over the years since the Gulf War. The book deals with a range ofrotest imagery from hi-tech and low-tech to no-tech and is comprehensivelyllustrated with images ranging from lollipop wrappers to websites. Graphicgitation 2 is a survey of social and political graphics since the early990s. It illustrates and contextualises work produced in relation to keyhemes such as: environmental movements; the rise of corporate power;randing; wars (e.g. in the Balkans and the Gulf War); and human rights - allf which have been prominent items in the news over the last few years. Theraphic design projects discussed in this book are all of 'the digital age'ut they are not all digital-based. Liz McQuiston was previously head of Graphic Art and Design at the Royal College of Art in London and head of the Masters degree programme in Information Design at De Montfort University.
