Historically, Hollywood has stereotyped various groups. Italians are Mafioso, Irish are cops, priests, or soldiers, blacks were, in the past, slow-witted, dangerous, or drugged-out. Hispanics were crooks and were cruel. Asians were usually sly and untrustworthy, or portrayed as cartoon-like characters.
