Author Biography

Dik Browne was born in New York and started working as an illustrator for Newsweek in the 1940's. He co-created the famous Hi and Lois strip with Mort Walker before inventing the lovably awful Viking Hagar the Horrible in 1973. Since his death in 1989, his son, Chris Browne, has continued to produce the strip.
