Summary

There are difference between Asian and Caucasian hair, this include hair characteristic, color, caliber etc not to mention the difference in facial frame and skull contour. However, many hair textbooks contain only a few pages regarding Asian hair transplantation which seem not to be adequate for those who do not treat Asian patients on a regular basis. The editors felt there is a need for a new book specialized in hair restoration in Asians, including anatomy, hairline placement, donor harvesting, grafts preparation and insertion and repair etc. The most important feature of this book would be how the Asians hair transplantation should be managed differently from Caucasians'.The readers will find out new and different methods to approach and treat the Asian patients. The readers either Asian or Caucasian will find the text to be useful in their practice since it will illustrate the technique that will achieve the natural result especially the Asian hair has coarser hair which is difficult to manage and obtain natural result of the hair line.
