Insurance and financial markets have been radically and deeply changed in the last 20 years. These developing trends pose both global and local challenges for financial services firms.The purpose of the Handbook of International Insurance: Between Global Dynamics and Local Contingencies is to add to the understanding of insurance markets by adopting an international comparative approach. The book will include chapters written by scholars and practitioners in the major insurance markets worldwide, including Europe, the Americas, and Asia. An overview chapter and conclusion will be contributed by the editors, and there will also be chapters on regulation and reinsurance. The book will provide important new information on the evolution of the financial sector worldwide.
