Interacting with happenings and observations, she finds analogies that speak to the territory of Christian experience. To facilitate greater practical and devotional usage, the writer has provided not only a topical list of the subjects covered, but also an index of the related scriptural passages that figured in each soliloquy. The soliloquies were first sent out on a weekly basis via email to an ever-increasing mailing list. Many who received them expressed appreciation and suggested that they be published in book form in order to reach a wider audience.
