There is a lack of information available for decisions makers and executive teams to understand business benefits, such as ROI of implementing the Rational Unified Process (RUP) combined with the IBM Rational Solutions and how to manage the implementation to quantifiable benefits. This book will arm managers with the information they need to invest in and benefit from the implementation of the RUP. Implementing the IBM Rational Unified Process and Solutions is based on lessons learned from actual implementations of the RUP, both successful and not. Author, Joshua Barnes transfers the knowledge of these lessons learned in the written word and includes the actual samples of work from real implementations. The chapters will form a roadmap for you to follow as you are taken through the complete implementation lifecycle. The concluding chapters will discuss how to leverage lessons learned for the rest of the organization and how to keep up the momentum. As well as reference guidance (RUP Applied) that can help project teams and work groups achieve increasingly higher levels of maturity that comes with the experience of working project after project within the RUP framework and utilization of the IBM Rational Solutions.
