To do so, she sends Guillén, her lover, to Valencia, in order to find the best crafters. Guillén brings back Juana, a promising embroideress that will fill the palace walls with love, suspense, drama, and secrets, and will disrupt Caterina’s quiet life.

Consuelo Sanz de Bremond Lloret (Valencia, 1963) graduated in Biological Sciences at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, and has devoted herself to researching garments, daily life, and hygiene in the Middle and Modern Ages for over twenty years, work she shares in her blog, opusincertumhispanicus.blogspot.com. She has published several scientific papers on the subject and has been a lecturer and speaker at conferences. The Embroideress is her first novel.
