Author Biography

Katie Thompson is a writer, designer, and maker living in the swamps of Eutawille, SC with her husband Joseph and their shop dog Bella. She's had a passion for writing and creating since childhood. She has written for dwell.com, and has appeared on DesignFeast.com, in Furniture & Cabinetmaking, Art Mag, Charleston Magazine, and on the Today show. She is one half of Joseph Thompson Woodworks and the Owner/Maker of Black Swamp. Her woodworking has been exhibited at the American Craft Council, One of a Kind Chicago, Redux Contemporary Art Center, and the South Carolina State Museum.
