Dienes's earlier book Marilyn Mon Amour revealed the glorious young starlet in her first blush of fame -- the Marilyn the with whom de Dienes had fallen into a brief, intense affair. During the 1940s and early 1950s he took thousands of pictures of Marilyn -- and yet he held many of the best of these back, creating a personal archive that remained sealed until his recent death.
Now, for the first time, his niece Marie has compiled the finest of these photos -- 200 shots in color and black and white, almost all which have never been seen before. The Marilyn of these photos is remarkable -- youthful, fresh, and very much in love. And Marilyn: My Prayer for You -- its title taken from a note from Marilyn to Dienes -- is a uniquely intimate glimpse of the most beautiful and intriguing woman of the century.
