Summary

Mirabilia - stories that inspire wonder, represents the magic found in this collection of stories. Heather Renee weaves virtuous messages through clever rhymes in tales involving mermaids, unicorns, and even monsters. Some stories, like the tale of "Polaris," are based on scientific facts that are not widely known. That specific story speaks of the constellation Ursa Minor. Other tales weave in lessons of self-love and gratitude to further touch the hearts of each reader. A classic collection for every household, Mirabilia is a timeless family treasure.

Author Biography

Heather Renee was first exposed to the magical world of storytelling by her father and illustrator, Noble T. Johnson. When she was eight years old, he began a tradition of telling stories of wonder, love, and adventure under the light of every full moon. Heather Renee and her sister would eagerly watch the night sky awaiting the sign of the next full moon. Even as an adult, the magic of seeing a silver sphere resting amidst a starlit sky reminds her of the evenings when she would jump into her father's lap to beg for a story. In due course, she carried this tradition on with her own two daughters. This book is a collection of her moonlight tales.Noble Johnson, the author's father, is a retired U.S. Army Colonel. He was inspired to illustrate this book because of its "magical enchantment and the unique impact of the many values it teaches." Noble is best known as an illustrator for his artwork supporting the release of the Fourth Magus, a modern-day Christmas classic. He is also the creator of numerous art products honoring the contributions of Military families.
