Summary

Moto GP has never seen anything like this before, in what is a unique visual study of the world's leading motorcycle championship. The topics covered inside include the legendary champions, famous tracks, great races, and life away from the track, which has resulted in a unique record that reveals Moto GP from a new and exciting perspective. Written by leading Moto GP journalist, Michael Scott, Moto GP Yesterday & Today illustrates how much the sport has changed over the years, but also how several of the fundamentals of motorcycle racing has remained unaltered.

Author Biography

Michael Scott has been a motoring journalist for almost 40 years, and has specialized in motorcycle grand prix racing, attending almost every GP since 1984. As well as contributing to magazines worldwide, including Japan, the US, Australia, India and much of Europe, Scott has edited SuperBike Magazine and Road Racer. He is the author of several books including the critically acclaimed Wayne Rainey—His Own Story (Motorbooks International) and MotoGP: The Illustrated History (Carlton). He lives in Wimbledon, London.

Valentino Rossi is a giant of grand prix racing, and a worldwide household name. With nine MotoGP championships—seven in the 500 cc/MotoGP class—he is chasing Giacomo Agostini's all-time record of 122 race wins. Few doubt that he will get there.
