Summary

Breaking new ground in pediatric neuropsychology, this is the first book that guides practitioners to conduct effective neuropsychological interviews with children, adolescents, and their parents. Leading authorities cover a range of practice settings, as well as many different congenital and acquired conditions. The volume is packed with sample interview questions and concrete clinical guidelines. It emphasizes ways to tailor interviews to each child’s clinical presentation. Developmental, family, and cultural factors, as well as level of cognitive and adaptive functioning, are considered. Chapters also address how to supplement interview data with behavioral observations and record reviews. Extensive quick-reference tables are featured throughout.
